Founding Principal Tommy Faulkner has consistently “revolutionized” design and construction delivery throughout his career. First by being one of the forerunners in the state of North Carolina to understand and deliver Special Inspections services per the newly adopted International Building Code in the early 2000’s. Second by creating a program and a process to educate inspectors, designers, building owners and building officials on how to deliver construction inspections in an effective and efficient way that would create greater assurance for the safety and functionality of the completed building. Finally, in creating and leading a multi-disciplined design team to better communicate and collaborate through use of technology and improved methodology what resulted was better use of client resources, better project participant relationships, greater project success.Simply put faulkner edc was created to serve our clients needs as a designer, an inspector, an engineer, a builder, a facilities manager, and as a value partner to our clients. We do so through the efforts of our two separate but cooperating companies faulkner engineering and design and faulkner construction. We are more than any of our single disciplines, our combined experience and insight gives our clients greater representation. We have experience serving clients in the legal arena as an expert witness or more often as a third party performing an investigation of facts.
