Civil Engineering

faulkner edc’s Civil Engineering offerings include forensic studies, water resources, storm drainage design, retaining wall design, and environmental services. Additionally we provide testing and inspection of structural soils as well as the materials being supported by the subsurface such as concrete, asphalt and masonry.

Our leadership has experience successfully delivering past projects to many local clients. One such project example is the Duke University West Edens Link Parking Lots and Roadway where we served as the civil consultant to an internal project that added over 1000 new parking spaces and connected two ends of campus with a two lane roadway. Through this project our leadership worked directly with the Army Corp of Engineers delineating wetlands and with the Duke University School of the environment for relocation of those identified wetlands. Additionally, our leadership made day to day decisions on the quality and process of the soils, sub-base, asphalt and finish of the paved areas including a roundabout that boasts a stamped concrete to create a look consistent with the architecture of Duke.

Mr. Faulkner has been a tremendous help to our Civil and Environmental projects at Duke Univeristy and is excellent at offering solutions to issues we encounter. He has done incredibly well serving the University on projects like West Edens Link and many other pavement structures on campus.
