faulkner edc’s Roofing and Waterproofing Design offerings include design of residential and commercial roof systems, forensic inspection, window design, foundation and basement level waterproofing design, and overall envelope. Our team has years of experience designing, installing and repairing roofing and waterproofing elements found in both residential and commercial construction. Systems include built up roof, single plys, epdm, slate, asphalt shingles and many more. Our primary focus is on serving clients with water or vapor infiltration concerns. We serve our clients by first isolating and identifying roofing and envelope breaches followed by an informative plan/design to resolve the breach.

faulkner edc has experience successfully delivering past projects to many local clients. One such project example is the inspection and design of a building envelope system on a commercial building in apex. The roof is a standing seam roof with exterior wall of masonry brick. Upon inspection we noticed that the details at the parapets and eaves did not meet standard industry detailing and were not constructed in a way to prevent water infiltration over time. In addition the weep holes in the brick façade were filled with mortar at the backside of the wall preventing proper venting of the wall. These factors contributed to the water infiltration this business owner was experiencing, however, our investigation provided a cost effective remedy to the circumstances.
