faulkner edc’s Structural Engineering offerings include failure inspections for both residential and commercial, forensic studies, structural design, and structural inspections. The leadership of faulkner edc has a rich history of leading in the area of structural engineering having served on the International Code Council Structural Committee for multiple code cycles we are acutely aware of both what is required by local code and largely where and how previous failures have occurred. In addition we have the distinction of having served as the chairman or consultant to multiple jurisdictions with the state of NC in developing guidelines for structural special inspections. To complement our structural services we provide testing and inspection of structural soils as well as the materials being supported by the subsurface such as concrete, asphalt and masonry.

Our leadership has experience successfully delivering past projects to many local clients. One such project example is the outdoor tower lighting at the MAC Sports Complex. In serving the owner of the project as well as the lighting installer faulkner edc provided a foundation design for the pole lighting system while maintaining sensitive height and distance limitations due to encroachment into the RDU flight path.

faulkner edc’s service and responsiveness to the needs of the project made the process of installing our lighting system seamless. With their support we met all of the City of Raleigh’s design criteria as well as the safety concerns from RDU due to our footprint being within the flight path.
