Hampton Inn Holly Springs: The Hampton Inn & Suites is the first new hotel designed to accommodate the emerging Triangle-area business travel community in Holly Springs, North Carolina. faulkner edc’s Tommy Faulkner, while leading his previous firm, led the overall SI and CMT program on the project. The scope of the project he managed included inspection of the wood framing for proper size, spacing, attachments, nail patterns and repairs. Additionally, Mr. Faulkner and his designees provided engineering evaluations of the sub-grade, made recommendations on undercut, monitored fill placement and footing evaluations. As part of Mr. Faulkner’s Construction Management competency, he performed monthly payment application reviews for the bank that financed the project. Project tasks were tracked as percentage completed, stored materials were verified, and off-site material orders were verified. This project was delivered on time and within budget!
