Borkowski Family: The home was built in the 1950’s and is a ranch with a full basement and boasts a master suite addition that was completed in the 1970’s. The rooms in the master suite were relatively small and divided in ways that made use of the space less efficient by today’s standards. The design faulkner edc created doubled the size of the master bathroom and added features in the bathroom such as the 1920’s era free standing tub, double vanity and stand up shower with rain jets. The master bedroom increased in size by 30% and is fitted with new wood beams at the ceiling level as well as an angled ceiling with maximum height of 16’. A barn door constructed from a 1930’s solid wood door marks the entrance from the bedroom to the bath. New engineered wood flooring has been installed with a dark chestnut hue that plays well with the variety of white accents found on the trip and walls. We constructed a new sitting room that leads out onto the patio and is perfect for early morning coffee or late evening relaxation. The beauty of this space makes it one of our signature projects for our design capabilities as well as construction.
